Hello!
My name is Elisa and I have been crafting for most of my life. I started out with various stitchery crafts which I do still enjoy from time to time. My passion, however, is paper crafting: card making, scrapbooking, party decor, 3D projects, gift bags and tags (just to name a few)! One element of paper crafting I particularly like is that you can complete an entire project (or multiple projects) in one sitting such as a card(s) or scrapbook page(s).
Almost 30 years ago I hand stamped my first child’s birth announcements. Stamping was starting to make its way onto the scene where I lived at the time. I bought a couple of cute stamps, ink pads and cards/envelopes. I was so proud of those announcements that I made with no training. They were pretty basic but it was so much fun!
A few more years went by before I heard about Stampin’ UP! I was invited to a class and I went in thinking maybe I would buy a couple of small things to be polite. Oh how wrong I was…haha. I was charmed by the lovely Christmas card we made in the class and bought all the supplies so I could make my Christmas cards that year!
My love of paper crafts has only grown since then!
In the summer of 2017, I decided it was probably about time I signed up to be a demonstrator! I sure am glad I did! I love teaching classes and seeing the looks of accomplishment on everyone’s faces when they gaze upon their creations. And I love having an “excuse” to spend more time creating!
During this pandemic, my crafty friends and I have been working to send out cards to friends, family and even strangers to help brighten their days. We are even keeping a count of the number of hand crafted cards we sent out! You can add to the count by sending me an email!
I have taken a leap to incorporate technology into my business. I’ve held one zoom class and have more planned for the future in addition to some Facebook Live videos.
I do value my in person classes very much because of the camaraderie that develops among those who join my classes. During this time of social distancing, however, we have discovered we can keep our crafting mojo alive through digital classes and a desire to make cards to spread sunshine to those around us.
